Bio
Hong Kong and Helsinki based Artist and designer, Oi-Ling Ng, originally an art educator, Ink painter and visual artist for the previous years. Oi-Ling gets inspiration for surface design from her passions on ink painting and diverse material practices. Her designs and visual presentations are unique with blending of Nordic and Asian visual elements and aesthetic concepts.
Artist Statements
The ideologies of the modern era among Western and Eastern visual culture
takes an important position in my artistic practices. My recent artistic practice adapts a variety of mediums such as print-making, painting, mixed medias and digital art. These series of works connect to the psychological phenomenon of the modern era. While living in the urban city, we are being affected by environment unconsciously. I keen to present the concept on human psychological status with surface patterns, installation art, video and painting which had been exhibited in Berlin Acud Galerie and Aalto University.
